Your Body is Trying to Tell You Something… Are You Listening?

February 20, 2023

Let’s talk about internal and external health.

I am in a very difficult season of life right now. I am the heaviest I have been since starting my nutrition journey in 2021, and despite me having more muscle mass, my body fat has significantly increased. In addition, my gut health is in a serious flare up and my medications certainly aren’t helping anything. Plus, the majority of 2023 so far has been spent in urgent care, the ER, inpatient at the hospital, or taking 3 weeks of downtime to recover.

I am mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted.

I preach the scale is only a number and doesn’t indicate ideal health, however I want to make a point of something – If we aren’t addressing our internal health, our external health is only temporary.

The first step is to address my internal health. Physical health follows the internal, in my case digestion and inflammation. I cannot expect my physical appearance to look the way I want it to if I am slapping a bandaid over the internal aspect of my health and calling it “good enough”.

As much as I want to see my body fat decrease rapidly, this isn’t a quick fix.
Here’s the thing – many women who are in a similar season of life don’t want to take the time to heal their insides. They much rather throw money at a quick fix to make the problem go away, BUT, in the long run, they’re only creating more problems.

I do what I do to provide a solution, and it’s not just short term.
What if you could be in a state of ideal health for more than a few months? What if you could be in a state of ideal health, the happiest and healthiest you have ever been, for years and years to come?
