There was a time where I was so busy chasing one dream that I neglected my body. My mental health was anything but healthy, yet I put so much pressure on myself to be more and do more. It took a long time for me to realize I was the one putting pressure on myself- no one was holding me to impossible standards. It was all in my mind.
My physical health took the back burner, and it only made my mental health worse. I was struggling, but felt I had an appearance to keep up, so I only showed the world my accomplishments.
Then I hit rock bottom.
I felt lost, confused, and couldn’t stop questioning why I dove into my first business the way I did.
I got to a point where I was forced to step away, and it was in that moment I came to the realization I had to make myself a priority.
Fast forward to now. I am chasing another dream of mine, but this time I am making my health a priority.
You can’t pour from an empty cup, and one of my biggest passions is to connect with others and help them through their own battles on their journey to becoming the healthiest and happiest version of themselves.
I knew I couldn’t show up the way I wanted to if I went down the same path as before, and it was in those moments of growth I found thankfulness for the struggles.
My hope is you can find ways to make peace with your story. To own your story and find ways to show up for yourself every day. Even on the days when you don’t think you can.
You are stronger than you think.
You are in control.
Let these pictures be the evidence.
Embrace your journey.
Embrace your story.
Someone out there needs you to give yourself permission to be who you are so they can find a way to give themselves permission too.
