The “wow” moment you’re chasing is made up of all the tiny things that have to happen first.
Let’s face it- fat loss is a very, very slow process.
One of the most common factors my girls get discouraged by is the time it takes to reach fat loss goals.
Often times they don’t want to commit for longer than a couple months if they haven’t magically shed all the weight.
The most important reminder I share with them is that good things take time, and there is so much to gain interpersonally by sticking it out and trusting the process.
We have all been there- slowly gained some weight and now want to get rid of the extra pounds. And we wanted it gone yesterday. I get it.
The thing is that fat loss does not happen overnight, yet we put the pressure and expectation on ourselves that the process will be quick and easy.
And when it gets hard, we decide to sacrifice what we want for what is easy.
But why? Why give up on yourself so quickly?
Chances are it took 6+ months to a year or more to gain the unwanted weight. So why do we expect 1-2 months of a program to be the answer to losing it all at once?
The hard truth is that isn’t how it works.
However, as mentioned, this journey is just as much about the changes that happen on the inside as the outside.
Your mindset matters.
Waiting to be more consistent, have more time, lose some weight first, have a less chaotic schedule are all just excuses you are telling yourself to talk yourself out of taking action and taking the step to be that much closer to achieving your goals.
If you keep making excuses and pushing it off, it just isn’t a priority.
But your health and happiness should be.
Give yourself the permission you need to start today.
The future you is waiting.
