I used to think…
–
1. “if I just had ____”
2. “once ____ happens”
3. “when I ____”
–
…would crack the code at this happiness thing.
I used to think it takes *having* “something”, *waiting on* “something”, or *being* “something” to figure out a way to be in a constant state of happiness.
Oh, how much I have grown since then.
As humans, we are constantly on a journey to find and achieve happiness. And it’s exhausting. Why?
Because we see others being happy and we want that too.
Can I tell you a secret?
Looking happy on the outside doesn’t always = feeling happy on the inside.
Key words: look and feel.
Truth is, finding and achieving happiness is an inside job.
Finding and achieving happiness is an ongoing process; a journey, and one that never ends.
Finding and achieving happiness begins with self-care, mindfulness, deep thought, personal development, reflection, and getting raw and real with your thoughts and emotions.
Finding and achieving happiness isn’t something that happens overnight.
There is no easy button.
However, when you put in the time and effort, you will uncover the real you.
The real you has been there the whole time. The real you just needs permission to live fully.
When you find the real you, remind yourself it’s ok to be authentically you 100% of the time.
Don’t worry about what others will think of you. That’s none of your business.
And once you’ve found, uncovered and validated yourself?
That’s when the real magic happens.
Start inside and work your way out.
Be brave.
Be authentic.
Be bold.
Be you.
