Motivation, in my world, is a hot topic.
I am often asked how I keep myself motivated “all the time”, and truth is, I am just like you. I am not always 100% motivated, and that’s ok. It’s ok for you not to feel motivated 24/7 too.
Here’s the key though- you must find ways to keep yourself disciplined.
One of the most common experiences I witness as a coach and mentor is people feeling frustrated when they don’t see results right away, leading them down a path of throwing in the towel before they have even given themselves a fighting chance.
Living in a “have everything in a touch of a button” world along with the toxicity of comparison, especially on social media, takes a toll and leads to downward spiraling.
Can I tell you something?
Good things take time. They really do. And you are worth spending time on. The time will pass anyway; might as well spend it making yourself healthier and happier. Right? Right.
Many people ask me how I started my business over 4 years ago. When I told them the ins and outs, ups and downs, many were inspired.
But, on the other hand, many were intimidated and would say things like “that’s too much work” or “I don’t have time for that”.
It IS a lot of work, but I believe we make time for things that we prioritize, and my goal is to help others prioritize themselves and the goals that may seem a little far out of reach.
The reason why I do what I do is to change others’ mindsets around what it means to become mentally and physically fit, starting with educating as much as I can on the human mind and body.
Part of that process is understanding what motivates people to help them efficiently reach their goals.
Don’t sell yourself short. Remember these things…
Baby steps still move you forward.
Take it one day at a time.
Recognize your progress.
Don’t compare yourself to others (even though it may be hard).
Need a little help? I am always one message away.
